Team USA added to its cache of Olympic hardware with a sweep in men’s slopestyle skiing.
Americans Joss Christensen, Gus Kenworthy and Nick Goepper took gold, silver and bronze, respectively, in the slopestyle – a new freestyle skiing event for 2014. The U.S. men’s hockey team handily beat Slovakia 7-1 in its Olympic opener. And figure skating had another dramatic day, with Russia’s legendary Yevgeny Plushenko withdrawing from competition and Japan’s Yuzuru Hanyu delivering a sensational performance to earn gold in the men’s short program.
Today features another full lineup of hockey and figure skating, along with the men’s super combined alpine skiing event and so much more.
